This was another very early photoshoot. I'm happy with the shot now but didn't share any of these because I had a less-than-ideal experience. Note to photographers - if you are taking your model to a nudist resort and plan to be nude while shooting her, please tell them before you book her, not when you're 5 minutes away from the location, an hour away from your city. This sets her up for a very uncomfortable session that she can't decline. GRUMBLE.

First shoot ever! These have never seen the light of day. I find it funny when photographers ask you to bring your own clothing, do your own makeup and hair for headshots. Many gals aren't MUAs, hair stylists, or into fashion but maybe it's assumed all women possess these skills. However... most women starting out also can't afford fine clothing or the proper makeup kit required for a pro photoshoot. This was a $5 tank top and it photographers like a $5 tank top! I did my own hair and makeup and that shows too. The lighting isn't great either. Lesson - don't trust anyone who calls themselves a pro photographer that will further your career with TF headshots.

Happy Friday. This photographer is one of my favourites to collaborate with. This is not his usual style, but we wanted to try something weird by the end of the shoot. I was on my knees on my kitchen counter, with fruit and knives on the chopping block. Not sure what our concept was but I do like the strangeness and the pleasant composition.

I went to Philly once to pose for 2 very talented artists. My flight arrived very late, and I was broke, so I took the train into the city rather than grabbing a cab. The station was practically empty except for those of us coming in from the airport. I disoriented (directionally challenged...), and took a side street corridor exit. When I opened the door, there was a man in a hoodie tweaking out and blocking the door to go outside. He lunged at me but then turned away and huddled back in the corner. I was pretty sure I was going to be robbed, but the door back into the station was still open, so I got out of there and somehow made it to my hotel. I'm thankful that's one of the only scary encounters I've had and in a way I was glad I saw that side of a big city. Toronto was also very safe, even when I lived in bad neighbourhoods. Anyways, that was a long account of what led to a series of lovely drawings of me.
