Did you know this was my first ever surfboard! I chose this shape and size at the time because I wasn’t very good at surfing. This is called a funshape which is between a short board and a longboard. Short boards are harder to ride because they are smaller. So this is an inbetween to help me get better at surfing smaller boards!

In order to keep your kite stable while you walk you want to what we call “park” the kite at 3 o’clock and keep it there while you walk. This is setting the kite at the edge of the “wind window” which allows wind to pass through it while you walk for minimal pull.

Surfs up. When trying to surf a wave you want to make sure you’re far enough back so the wave will not crash over you. Once you spot it, start paddle-ing as fast as you can and do not stop until you feel the wave start to push the board. From there you will need to pop up onto both feet and try to balance! 🌊
