Iām quite nervous about leaving for Texas this morning. Things arenāt settled here. I dunno whatās going on with my housing but at least itās taking the courts eons to figure it out for themselves. & Iām going to miss my cat dearly. Weāve grown very close since my last break up. I suppose that is a crazy cat lady spinster thing to say but it is what it is. Iād take her with but we barely have enough room for ourselves in my tiny car.
Iām nervous that my dog will act aggressively towards my new/temporary house mate, who also has a dog. I dunno where this aggression is coming from exactly in Disco but I have a few ideas. I believe he is traumatized by multiple situations heās been through. Like me. We do have the same birthday, after all. And walking him in a big city? Iām getting heart palpitations thinking about it now because he has no home training what so ever.
Then there is my grandma who has become a total shut in since covid happened two years ago. She doesnāt go anywhere & her mind comes up with the craziest ideas about her neighbors. My uncle recommended recently that she be hospitalized but I donāt think taking away her autonomy is the right answer quite yet. I wish sheād just move in with me.
Also there is the fact that havenāt left home for this long since I went to my first college from here to Seattle. This feels like that. Iām going to a new universe to immerse myself in study. Just instead of dance, this time it will be comedy. Which Iām nervous about. Iām sure the other people signed up for the classes already have experience & are already good but need a little push to get them performing. Sometimes I think people think Iām funny because Iām kinda dim. I feel like to be truly funny you must be a genius. And usually an unhappy one. I am neither of those things.
Anyway, thank you for coming to my vent session about my fears about embarking on this journeyā¦ Iām sure thereās much more I havenāt said that Iām insanely freaking out about but I just took some medicine for those & that should be calming me down any moment.
