On my way to my first stand up comedy class & I’ve been filling out a questionnaire that the teacher asked us to fill out & I figured I might share my answers with y’all too!
* 2 things that you love and WHY.
1. Donuts. I’ve loved them my whole life. It felt really special when my grandma would get me some for breakfast & it felt like I was getting away with something secret & fun cause my mom was always bitching about how my grandma let me eat complete shit when I was little, which was true & probably not good for my budding relationship with food, but they taste hella good nonetheless.
2. Performing. I’ve been putting in “shows” for my family since I can remember. Dancing, singing, telling jokes, telling very tall tales, etc. I love getting all the attention even though I’m shy, anxious & introverted af. So it really doesn’t make much sense. But I love being in front of & pleasing a crowd. The dopamine release is insanely addictive. & If you get me shwasted enough I will put you on a personal lip sync concert of the entire Back 2 Black album by Amy Winehouse. You’ll love it.
* 2 things that irk you/make you mad/really annoy the heck out of you and WHY.
1. Flakes. People that say they are going to do something & then don’t. I used to be a huge flake because of my anxiety so although I can understand why people commit to things & then don’t come through, I still can’t stand by it. If I can change & be better about showing up, why can’t they? Yes this is super judgmental but you asked.
2. Working doing anything not fun. I do not ever want a 9-5 job or I’d probably unalive myself. I recently tried working a normie job & I almost lost my shit. It wasted my time & did not pay me nearly enough for the time it took away from my creative endeavors. If the job does not inspire me, fulfill me creatively OR just bring in a ton of money for the time spent at it, I just cannot do it. I’d rather just not exist or at least maybe just go on disability & move back in with my mom, to avoid bills. Which is completely possible for me to do with my brain stuff. But I’d rather have fun.
* 2 of your favorite stand-up comedians.
1. Margaret Cho. Growing up me my mom loved watching her comedy specials & she made me want to be a stand up comic. She took like the trauma of growing up as a minority & made it into funny stories she could tell the world. I will say I really disliked when she slowly became super political, not that I disagree with any of the opinions she shares, I just feel people go to stand up comedy for an escape rather than a social justice lesson
2. Amy Schumer. I like her because she’s gross to be 💯. So am I. I wanna talk about things that are gross specifically for women because being a woman is absurd, to put it bluntly.
* Anything specific you hope you get out of class
I wanna start doing stand up! I’ve been wanting to since I was a little kid. I remember sitting in the floor & watching some stand up comedian with my mom & her friends. I was oblivious to what was going on other than recognizing that whoever the man on stage was, he was commanding the audience in front of him & the group of people surrounding me. And they were dying with laughter. I loved the idea of commanding that much attention & causing people to have that much fun. Then & all of a sudden I noticed a specific joke the guy was telling about and old woman & a hat & comparing it to her aged vagina, calling it old news or something. I barely knew what it meant but I repeated that joke for years & adults loved it. I loved making people laugh. From then on I always saw myself as a funny girl. I was kinda weird looking, chubby, buck toothed & not exceptionally good at school even though I tested super well, which is how I made it through school without being held back due to my usually poor grades. So making people laugh was just my thing.
I’ve been dancing around doing an open mic night for a long time. I finally went to one & realized there is really nothing much to be scared of because most everyone there kinda sucks anyway. So I might as well suck right along with them & do a thing I’ve always wanted to do.

Good morning! It’s not quite morning anymore I suppose but it is for me! I kinda had a late night after my acting class, which was phenomenal btw!!!
Today I have my first stand up comedy class!! I’m super excited. I was thinking about camming today but I’ve been so busy the last two days worrying about taking my friend’s dog to the vet two days in a row, *trying* to audition for clubs & then stressing myself out trying to get a new SSC ordered… I think I need to take today to unwind. But I will be starting to cam week daily-ish starting tomorrow & Friday & then next week Mon-Thurs! So book mark my streamate page & join me 1-5pm through the week!
I’m actually going home next weekend for a makeup job & to check on my grandma. So yeah! A lot going on!

UPDATE: I got to the social security office & got a SSC ordered! They said within 2 weeks it will be delivered to me in Texas & I *BELIEVE* I found a club where I can work this Friday with a copy of my SSC. So fingers crossed they let me shake this ass! And two of my friends work there!!!

So to expand on what happened last night, the first club said they had way too many night girls. Very sternly so I assumed it was a comment on my appearance & I almost had a breakdown. Then I went to the next place which is owned by the same company & they were totally going to audition me but said they couldn’t without an SSC, which I lost back when I was using it along with my temporary DL that I had to get after losing mine in the Charlotte airport. Even though I had my birth certificate AND my freaking passport with me.
I called a friend who dances here after that & she did some calling around for me & found out it is a state law that to work in *ANY* club you have to have a SSC. Which is insane! Anywhere else I’ve worked (& that’s been in multiple states) all you need is a DL & any other form of government ID. So birth certificates & passports count just fine.
So I’m fucked. The second place said they would even take the receipt of order for a SSC so I’m going try to go to the Social Security Administration today, but I ran up over $100 in Ubers in last night & just to go to this office & back it’s going to cost me $40-50!!! I really needed that dance job to make it here!!!
So I’m very frustrated rn, to say the least. I have classes Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday nights that go later than the latest times to go in & audition at any clubs. And most clubs won’t let you audition on Weekends. So the soonest day I could go try to do auditions again is next Monday as my weeks are very regimented with classes & Easter is on Sunday. Ugh!
In kinda better news, a girl from the first club contacted me after seeing my post on FB & said that they really are over ran with night girls right now even on week nights, as I just wanna work Mondays & some random Fridays & Sundays. So it may not have been about how I looked at all. Apparently they girls begged them not to hire any more night girls for awhile. So my breakdown last night was totally unnecessary. At least for that club… 😆
Long story short I have *VERY* bad luck at the clubs tonight. I’ll tell ya the whole story in the morning but for now I need to process my disappointment & regroup. It’s not as bad as you might think tho. Just stupid unlucky.
& I just spent almost $100 in Uber rides just to find out I don’t even have what I need to work… And my broke ass *REALLY* needed to work to cover that… So any tips would be not only appreciated but also accepted with tears & open arms rn.
