So, masks suck (especially if you wear glasses), but I've discovered an unexpected plus side.
I have small ears -- or, more specifically, small ear canals. This means that it's really awkward to find earphones that will actually fit into my ears, and stay there. On top of that, my ears compress the earbuds more than they should, which muffles the sound.
In order to stop music being muffled, I need to smile slightly, but I'd rather music be a bit distorted and too quiet than let the general public think I have anything other than resting bitch face and a general disdain for everyone. But now, masks are necessary, and I can smile slightly, listen to music in peace, and still do my best to be as standoffish as possible ❤️
