2023-10-06 18:38:55 +0000 UTC View PostOh, I learned an interesting fact today π. Prague Royal Castle is one of the giant castles where Walt Disney drew inspiration for Disneyland I've been to this city and it really does look like a fairy tale, so tasty beer and many mystery places, amazing art exhibitions and I even remember one interesting legend about the Golem. So, it's long story, in the 16th century, the famous Rabbi LΓΆw, sought a way to protect the local Jewish people from pogroms and unpredictable rulers. With the power to transform the four elements into living things, he molded a superhuman from the mud of the Vltava β the Golem. To bring the Golem to life, he had to insert a sheim (clay tablet with God's name on it) into its mouth. LΓΆw deactivated his creation for the Sabbath to allow the creature to rest in accordance with Jewish custom. However, one day he forgot, and the Golem rampaged through the ghetto, destroying everything in its path. Rabbi Loew Lu was reciting Psalm 92 in the Old New Synagogue when he was interrupted and told of the havoc the Golem was causing. He eventually confronted the monster outside the synagogue where he was able to remove the sheim. The Golem was never revived and was presumably later stored in the synagogue's attic, which remained locked up for centuries. To this day, Psalm 92 is denuted twice during services in Prague's most famous synagogue. Have you ever been to Prague? tits so you don't get bored π

2023-09-29 19:21:40 +0000 UTC View PostToday, September 29 comes the last supermoon of 2023. A supermoon is the period when the full moon and the Moon's maximum proximity to the Earth (perigee) coincide. The maximum close distance is less than 362000 km. Therefore, the night luminary looks not only bright but also much larger. The current full Moon is called Harvest Moon, as it falls at the time of the fall equinox. From ancient times it was believed that the big Moon brings income, attracts money, and favorably affects the fall harvest. Those photos were made by me, but so recommend seeing it as magic yourself β¨π

2023-09-28 18:24:10 +0000 UTC View PostI wanted to share, that I discovered Nietzsche, I started reading his "Antichrist", but then he seemed to me very aloof and gloomy. But now I'm reading "Ecce Homo", I'm reading slowly but surely and I found an interesting piece about Pascal's wager. So, I was surprised that Pascal was the inventor of the prototype of the modern roulette wheel and was obsessive about gambling. The main point of his wager is that if God exists and you bet on it, you win everything; if he doesn't exist but you believe he does, you lose nothing (not close for me, but interesting) added my pussy so the post wouldn't be so boring π
